Olympic Stadium to Accommodate 30,000

PHNOM PENH: Phnom Penh’s Olympic Stadium will soon be able to hold 30,000 spectators once new seats are installed.

According to Secretary General of the Cambodian Football Federation, Keo Sareth, the stadium is being equipped with new seats in accordance with the standards of the International Football Association (FIFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) after receiving permission from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and receiving a budget of about $500,000 from the Southeast Asian Football Association.

He said that once the new seats are installed, the open-air stadium will be able to accommodate 25,000 spectators, in addition to VIP seats, totaling room for 30,000 guests at international competitions.
